Blog post -Copeland

After reading Gloria Anzaldua's work, I felt both a sense of understanding and confusion. I really enjoyed the fact that she is so confident and educated about her rhetoric and mixing languages together. As someone who unfortunately knows very little Spanish, I had a hard time understanding some of the things she said. I like how she mixes them and translates/explains as she goes. Mixing languages is mixing cultures and allows Anzaldua to create a point of view that most people haven't thought of or can relate to. While her language can be confusing, she overall creates an interesting argument about how being in the middle-ground of two cultures can shape you as an individual.
