Blog #3 Dan M.
According to Zaeske, "The emergence of women on the public platform is one of the major developments in the history of public address in the United States." I agree with him, throughout history over half of the worlds population (including women and minorities) voice was suppressed and ignored. Women and minorities had to overcome certain barrier over time in order to be accepted as a "good orator". For hundreds of years men believed that women did not posses the ability to be a orator. The social history of the United States highlights what women had to overcome in order to to be accepted on the public platform.
