needs as citizens, researchers, teachers, students, and colleagues in the diverse
and multidisciplinary professions of rhetorics.
Question: This quote shows the main point of this short essay. This essay is a call to arms for rhetorics to do something. She's calling for a remapping of how we understand and learn rhetoric. Just learning about the studies of rhetoric through old white men doesn't have a place in our diverse society. Did Glen's "call to arms" start a change in how we view rhetoric? Did it make people question why we only study rhetoric primarily though the studies of white men?
