Grace Hancock QQC 2

Quote: "The task of historiography, then, is one of connecting the real and the discourse, and at the point where the link cannot be imagined, historiography must work as if the real and the discourse were actually being joined." (Glenn, page 290).

Question: This quote tells me that much of historiography is inferred, or speculated, and is not pulled from verifiable facts. Going off of this notion, should history and historiography be considered equal in value?

  1. This is a great quotation and question. For your next QQC, I encourage you to explain what the quote means to you in more detail before you move onto the question. Give us a little more insight into why you selected that quotation.
