The insight provided by Fleckenstein discusses a multitude of aspects that link up to the root of Saint Catherine of Sienna and the imagery events. These events were denoted as a visual performance either scripted or spontaneous in which carries the power of persuasion. Alongside of the belief that these scopic regimes dictate ur cultural rules, they are all inclusive to the substance of them being visual conventions, see-er/object relationships, image/world relationships, and object/space relationships. The purpose of a scopic regime is to solidify a membership of a(n) particular individual in a community. Saint Catherine of Sienna in her time was accepted, however in our generation today, she would be considered very questionable. This all has to do with how women are accepted, i.e, how they dress, talk, act was always a topic of discussion around the community. The misogyny of it initially came from religious context and is now unacceptable socially.
